Newington Cottage

Newington Cottage is a Regency House built in 1834. It was designed by Thomas Hamilton in a classical style, for country people requiring a second home near the city. It is situated under a mile from Edinburgh's ancient "Royal Mile" which is the heart of the city.

We have three lovely guest bedrooms - these rooms are spacious and peaceful, with all the comforts of home. Whether on a hectic business trip, or indeed visiting Scotland's beautiful capital, with full days enjoying the many wonderful sights, then returning to relax and put your feet up in 'five star' comfort and luxury. Your bed is large and inviting with an electric blanket, should there be a nip in the air!
