Markle House

Markle House is a large country house with a 16th century core, modified in Georgian and Victorian times to make it what is now -the family home of Carina and Jim McGuinness. Very comfortable, gracious, and with a lovely mature garden.

The McGuinnesses welcome guests for bed and breakfast and Carina can also provide an evening meal (with advance notice).

Markle House is 20 mins by car to the centre of Edinburgh (and 20 by train from nearby North Berwick). Both Carina and Jim know Edinburgh well and can advise and give ideas about how to make the best of the city. Moreover, Markle House is very close to over a dozen golf courses (including Gullane and Muirfield), and Jim himself is a keen golfer.
